Steve Perry Sings Christmas Carols! (Or "Holiday Music" for the PC-Minded)

So because I love all my amazing readers, I wanted to give you guys an early Christmas present. Something from the heart. From me to you. So I scoured the internet (well, YouTube and Google) to see if I could find a video or an audio file of our dearly beloved singing Christmas carols...and this was the best I could come up with.

It's a slide show of Steve Perry photos accompanied by Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas songs. Yes, it's lame. And disappointing. Which brings us to an important life lesson: you can't always get what you want. Life is disappointing sometimes. I'm sorry. But, hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

Feel free to regift.

P.S. I promise to make it up to you with a post about how Steve Perry might celebrate the holidays. I've got something cookin' up in my head. Stay tuned.

  2. Me either. It's kind of magnificent in its lameness.

  3. I would say that it's just the opposite of lame, actually -- it's stupendous! You just have to shift your frame of reference. In a Perry-centric world, where everything is set in a context of loving Steve Perry, pictures of Stevie are always the perfect gift. And set to the Chipmunks? Well, EVERYTHING is the background for Stevie-lovin', right? So yes, the Chipmunks. And the morning news and that report you have to get filed and your grocery list and deciding whether to pay ten bucks more for the real shearling slippers... and everything else that happens in a day. Watching this is like overhearing one half of a phone conversation -- on the other end, this vid makes perfect sense to Aunt Margie, who is busily loving Steve while she cleans her grout.

  4. Deb, this is one of the best optimistic ways of looking at something. :-)

  5. And I realize my comment sounds a little awkward. I'm listening to Phil Collin's "I Can't Dance" at the moment so I'm a little distracted.
